Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of this site and any order you place through it. By using the site you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not use the site.

Our Research Use Policy is part of these terms. On any question about the nature or permitted use of the materials we supply, it takes precedence over anything else on this site.

You must be at least 21 years old and legally able to enter into a contract. You must be acquiring materials for laboratory research use only. We may verify eligibility and may refuse service to anyone.

We describe each material in terms of what it is and how it acts in a biological system, with citations. We do not describe what it will do for any person, and we make no claim that any material is safe or effective. Descriptions may contain errors; where we find one we correct it.

Where a specification such as purity, physical form or storage is not backed by a certificate of analysis in our possession, that field is shown as unavailable rather than estimated.

Placing an order is an offer to buy, which we may accept or decline. We may decline for any lawful reason, including suspected human use, stock availability, or a pricing error.

Payment is taken by card at checkout. Card details go directly to our payment processor — they are never sent to or stored on this site.

Card payment is being activated for this store. Until it is, placing an order does not charge you — we email you to arrange payment, and nothing ships until that is settled.

Prices are shown in USD and may change. If a price is listed in error we will tell you before you pay anything, and you can cancel.

Shipping methods, timelines and cost are set out in our Shipping Policy. Delivery estimates are estimates, not guarantees. Risk in a shipment passes to you on delivery to the address you provide.

You are responsible for confirming that you may lawfully receive these materials at your address, including any import requirements that apply where you live. We are not responsible for goods detained, refused or seized by customs.

All sales are final. We do not accept returns and we do not issue refunds. Because these are research chemicals whose condition depends on storage we cannot verify once they leave us, we have no way to establish what happened to a vial after it left our custody, and we do not take one back. Two exceptions, both narrow: you may cancel an order that has not yet shipped, and every order carries damage protection giving you one free replacement if it arrives damaged, subject to review and to an intact seal. Creating an account is optional — buying does not require one. You can set a password, or sign in with Google. If you create an account either way, you are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity under your account. Tell us right away if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.

Information you provide must be accurate and kept up to date. You may hold only one account. Signing in with Google using an email address that already has an account here signs you in to that same account rather than creating a second one, so using both methods is not a breach of this term.

An account may accumulate store credit or loyalty points, and may generate a referral code. The rules for each — what earns them, how they are redeemed, and their limits — are published on the Referral page and, where applicable, in your account. By using these programmes you agree to those terms, which are part of this agreement. A few points apply across all of them:

• Store credit and points have no cash value and cannot be exchanged for cash.
• They are non-transferable — tied to the account that earned them.
• A referral code is redeemable only on a new account’s first order, using someone else’s code. Only one code or promotion may be applied per order.
• We may adjust, suspend or end any of these programmes at any time, and may reverse credit or points issued in error or obtained through fraud or abuse.

You agree not to:

• Use or supply any material for human or veterinary consumption.
• Misrepresent our materials, our descriptions, or their regulatory status.
• Ask us for dosing or administration guidance, through any channel, automated or human.
• Scrape, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site or its accounts.
• Use the site for any unlawful purpose.

The text, graphics, logos and design of this site are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by copyright and trademark law. You may not copy, reproduce or distribute them without our written permission, other than for your own personal, non-commercial reference.

We may suspend or close your account and refuse you service at our discretion, including for a breach of these terms or the Research Use Policy. You may stop using the site, or ask us to close your account, at any time.

These materials are unapproved research chemicals. Only limited data exists on their properties, and that is not the same as evidence of harm — it means the data is incomplete. By ordering, you acknowledge this and accept all risk connected with acquiring, handling, storing, using and disposing of any material, in accordance with the Research Use Policy.

In plain terms: we sell these materials as they are. We do not promise they will work for whatever you are doing, and we do not promise they are safe.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, materials and this site are provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that any material is safe or suitable for any purpose.

In plain terms: if something goes wrong, the most we can owe you is what you paid for the material involved.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss arising from use of any material in a manner contrary to the Research Use Policy. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the material giving rise to it.

You agree to indemnify us against claims, losses and expenses arising from your breach of these terms or your use, handling, storage, disposal or onward supply of any material.

If we have a dispute, we both agree to settle it through binding individual arbitration rather than in court. Arbitration is handled by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under the AAA Consumer Arbitration Rules, and takes place in Los Angeles County, California or, if you prefer, remotely.

Two things you keep either way:

• Either of us may bring an individual claim in small-claims court instead.
• Either of us may ask a court to protect intellectual property rights.

You can opt out of arbitration entirely within 30 days of creating an account or placing your first order, whichever comes first. Email us saying you opt out and include your name and order number. Opting out costs you nothing and does not affect anything else in these terms.

Claims have to be brought individually, not as a class action or on behalf of a group, and an arbitrator cannot combine one person’s claim with another’s. You and we each give up the right to a jury trial.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Where a claim is not covered by the arbitration section above, you and we agree it will be heard in the state or federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California.

You are responsible for complying with export control and trade sanctions laws that apply to your purchase and your location. You may not order from this site if you are located in, or are a resident of, a country or region subject to a comprehensive trade embargo.

This site may link to third-party sites, including the sources we cite. We do not control and are not responsible for the content, policies or practices of any third-party site.

• If one part of these terms cannot be enforced, the rest still applies.
• If we do not enforce something straight away, we have not given up the right to.
• You cannot transfer these terms to someone else without our agreement. We can transfer them.
• Neither of us is responsible for delays caused by things outside our reasonable control.
• To reach us, use the address in the footer. We will reach you by email, at the address on your order or account.
• Sections 12 through 17 continue to apply after you stop using the site.
• These terms are the whole agreement between us about the site, and they replace anything said earlier on the same subject.

We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised. Continuing to use the site after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.
